Can NYC handle two mini-Carrie Bradshaws?
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s surrogate gave birth to twin girls, according to the NYDailyNews.com.
Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge were born at 3:58 p.m on June 22nd, are both about 6 pounds and are in good health.
“Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side…the babies are doing beautifully, and the entire family is over the moon”, the couple said in a statement.
The twins will be joining SJP and Broderick’s first son, James Wilkie, who is very excited about the arrival of his new sisters.
“We need to get a lot of princess toys”, the 6-year-old told reporters.
As we mentioned earlier, SJP’s surrogate has been the target of threats and break-ins to her Ohio home. Authorities are still in the process of investigating the two policemen who allegedly broke in to take and sell photos and voice mail messages to tabloids, but one of the cops states that he was just “joking around”.
According to TMZ.com, the police chief charged with conspiring to sell information to the tabloids made a statement in which he claimed that he was meeting up with a friend at the National Enquirer just to “mess with him and jerk him around”.
Yeah, right.
Parker’s Sex and the City co-stars are thrilled at the birth of the twins, according to USWeekly.com.
“We’re very excited!” said co-star Kristin Davis. “I get to hold one while she’s holding the other!”
Hopefully the girls won’t be wearing any Manolos anytime soon.
